# How to check in a candidate

The **Check-In** process is used to mark a candidate as present at the test center and complete their verification before the exam begins. This step ensures that the candidate is properly identified, assigned a seat, and ready to start their exam.

Candidates are organized under **Workflows**. Each workflow represents a specific exam or exam type configured for the center.
