# Why is my network not meeting test requirements?

A reliable network is critical for a smooth experience on the platform, whether you're attending a live interview, taking a proctored assessment, or conducting an evaluator session. Poor connectivity can lead to video lag, audio distortion, or session disconnections.

This article outlines the network requirements needed for an uninterrupted experience.

## ✅ Minimum Network Requirements

| **Network Parameter** | **Recommended Value** | **Minimum Required** |
| --------------------- | --------------------- | -------------------- |
| **Download Speed**    | 10 Mbps or higher     | 5 Mbps               |
| **Upload Speed**      | 5 Mbps or higher      | 2 Mbps               |
| **Latency (Ping)**    | \< 50 ms              | Lesser than 100 ms   |
| **Jitter**            | \< 30 ms              | \< 50 ms             |
| **Packet Loss**       | 0%                    | Maximum 2% tolerated |

Anything below the minimum threshold may cause:

* Video/audio lag
* Delays in system checks
* Session timeouts or dropped connections
