# Proctored Exam Onboarding Guide

*Please* read this guide **before starting your exam session**.

Make sure you have a **stable internet connection**, a **laptop**, a **secondary device (mobile device/tablet)**, and a **valid photo ID**.

## Step 1: Start the Session

Start your exam session from the link provided to you. Once the session starts, you will be onboarded with the steps preparing your system for a proctored session.

## Step 2: Onboarding

### Recording and Privacy

* Review the data collected throughout the session.
  * Face Capture
  * Session Recording
  * Photo ID Check
* Click **Accept and Continue**.
* The **Need Help** option will be available at the **bottom-left corner** throughout the session.

### Instructions

* **Photo ID Confirmation**
  * Make sure your **photo ID** is with you.
  * Click **Yes, it’s ready**.
* **Secondary Device Check**
  * Ensure you have a **fully charged secondary device** (phone or tablet).
  * Click **Yes, it’s ready**.

### Allow Camera and Microphone access

* Your browser will ask for permission to access:
  * Camera
  * Microphone
* **Allow both** to continue the session.

### Camera Position Check

Sit facing the camera in a **well-lit area**. Make sure your **entire face is clearly visible**.

* Use the camera preview shown at the **bottom-left** to adjust your position.
* Click **Continue**.

### Share Screen

A short visual guide will appear showing how to share your screen. You must share your **entire screen** to start the exam.

* Click **Share Screen**.
* You will see three options:
  * Microsoft tab
  * Window
  * Entire Screen
* Select **Entire Screen** (not a tab or window).
* Continue once screen sharing is enabled.

## Step 3: Connect Secondary Device

### Scan QR Code

* Use your secondary device to **scan the QR code** shown on the laptop.
* Click **Continue** on the laptop.
* Enter the **8-digit verification code** displayed on your secondary device.
* Once connected, click **Get Started**.

## Step 4: Onboarding on Secondary Device

### Allow Permissions

* Allow **camera and microphone access** on the secondary device.
* Click **Continue**.

### Environment Check

* Click **Proceed**.
* Use the camera to show a **360° view** of your exam environment.
* Match the blue **dots** for a steady and clear scan.
* Once completed successfully, click **Continue**.

### Photo ID Verification

* Click **Proceed**.
* Select the following details:
  * Country
  * State
  * ID Type
* Capture your ID:
  * Front side → Click **Next**
  * Back side → Click **Continue**

### Verification Complete

* Wait while your ID and environment are verified.
* Once all checks are successful, click **Continue**.

### Place Secondary Device

* Place the secondary device on a **stable surface**.
* Rotate and position it **horizontally** as instructed.
* Click on **Continue** on Primary device.

## Step 5: Exam and Session Control

### Begin Exam

* Onboarding is now complete.
* You can **begin your exam**.
