# Why is my camera detected but not showing video?

If Talview recognizes your camera but no video appears, or the feed stays frozen, the connection to your camera exists but the video data isn't reaching the browser. This is usually caused by a device conflict, an outdated driver, or an incorrect camera selection. This article walks you through resolving it.

| What might be wrong | How to fix it |
| :-------------------------------------------------------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Wrong camera selected when multiple devices are connected | In your browser's site settings, confirm the correct camera is selected as the active device, then refresh the page. |
| Camera is in use by another application | Close other apps that may be accessing the camera, such as Zoom, Teams, or Skype, then refresh the page. |
| Outdated or corrupted camera driver | On Windows, update the driver through Device Manager. On Mac, ensure your OS is up to date. |
| USB connection issue (external cameras) | Reconnect the camera to a different USB port, avoiding hubs where possible, and ensure it's receiving enough power. |
| Browser cache or extension interference | Clear your browser cache, disable extensions that may access the camera, and refresh the page. |
