# What questions does Ivy ask during an audio call

Knowing what to expect can help you feel confident during your call. Talview designed Ivy to ask relevant, conversational questions rather than follow a rigid script. In this article, you will learn the types of questions Ivy may ask and how the conversation is structured.

#### 💬 How the conversation works

Ivy asks questions in conversational English, one at a time. After you answer, Ivy may ask a follow-up question based on your response to understand it better. You respond naturally, just as you would with a person on a phone call.

> **Note**: There are no trick questions. Answer honestly and clearly, and ask Ivy to repeat anything you didn't understand.

#### 🗂️ Types of questions Ivy may ask

* **Screening questions**: Basic questions about your background, experience, and suitability for the role.
* **Interview questions**: Role-relevant questions that help assess your fit.
* **Availability questions**: Questions about when you are available for the next steps.
* **Scheduling questions**: Questions that help arrange the timing of upcoming interviews or stages.

  #### Example of a follow-up

If Ivy asks about your notice period and you say you're currently serving one, Ivy may follow up by asking your last working day. This back-and-forth is normal and expected.
