# Attend an Ivy AI Assessment (Step-by-Step)
With the Talview platform, candidates can complete their **Ivy AI interviews** while engaging in natural, two-way conversations that showcase their skills and abilities effectively.
This article provides a step-by-step guide for candidates on how to take an **Ivy AI assessment on the web/mobile using Talview.**

## What is an Ivy AI Assessment?
An **Ivy AI assessment** is an AI-powered interview where you engage in a natural, two-way conversation with *Ivy, Talview's virtual interviewer*. Ivy asks questions, listens to your responses in real time, asks follow-up questions based on your answers, and evaluates your communication skills and competencies. This allows you to complete your interview at your convenience, without the need for scheduling with a human interviewer.

## Prerequisites
Before starting the assessment, ensure that you have:
* A **stable** internet connection.
* A computer or laptop with a **webcam and microphone**.
* Access to the **assessment link** provided by the recruiter.
* A **compatible** web browser (Chrome or Edge is recommended).

## Steps to Take an Ivy AI Assessment
### Step 1: Access the Assessment Link
* You will receive an invitation email with an assessment link to access the Ivy AI assessment.
* View your assessment details and click on “**Start Assessment”**, which will redirect you to the **Talview sign in portal**.
* Enter the exact same email address to which the invite was sent to you, to receive your one-time confirmation code (OTP).
* Click **Request OTP** to receive your unique confirmation code in your inbox.
* Enter the *8-digit confirmation code*, sent to your email to continue your assessment.
### Step 2: Grant Permissions
* Agree to our *Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy* to keep your experience secure.
* Consent to face capture and session recording, ensuring assessment integrity.
* Click **Continue** to proceed after accepting required policies.
### Step 3: Face Capture
* Position your face and hold steady to **Capture** your photo for a secure face verification.
### Step 4: Start the Assessment
* Read the Assessment instructions carefully and click **Proceed.**
* Before you begin the assessment,
* Make sure your *camera* and *microphone* is **turned ON.**
* Click on **Reduce;** to reduce mic noise (This ensures your voice stays clear and professional).
* Once you're ready with the hardware setup, Click **Join** to begin your Ivy AI Assessment.
### Step 5: Engage in Conversation with Ivy
* Ivy will ask you questions one by one in a conversational manner.
* **Speak clearly and naturally**, maintaining eye contact with the camera.
* Ivy will listen to your responses and may ask **follow-up questions** based on what you say to explore your experience more deeply.
* After you finish answering, mute the mic for *2-3 seconds* to allow Ivy to process your answer before expecting a follow-up question
* Your **camera and microphone must remain on** throughout the interview so Ivy can analyze your verbal responses and non-verbal cues.
### Step 6: Assessment Submission and Feedback
* Click **End session** with a single click when your interview is complete.
* Provide *feedback* by rating your assessment experience and click on **Submit.**
