# Candidates Using CodeJam During Talview Live Interviews

**CodeJam** in Talview Interview Rooms provides candidates with a collaborative coding space for live technical assessments during interviews. This guide explains how candidates can access and work with CodeJam during their interview.

## Prerequisites

* Active Talview interview session invitation or link
* Stable internet connection
* Supported browser and device suitable for coding tasks

## Steps to Use CodeJam

1. **Join the Interview Session**
   * Access the interview using your Talview link or via your dashboard.
2. **Activate CodeJam**
   * The interviewer initiates CodeJam.
   * The coding panel will open automatically alongside the interview window.
3. **Start Coding**
   * Begin solving the given problems.
   * Use features such as **language selection**, **syntax highlighting**, and other features and tools.
4. **Finish Coding**
   * When you complete the task, or when the interviewer closes CodeJam, the screen will return to the main video/audio interview view.

## Tips for Candidates

* Check which programming languages are supported before the interview
* Think aloud and explain your approach while coding to help interviewers understand your reasoning
* Stay calm, and communicate clearly if you face technical issues

## Supported Browsers and Devices

* **Browsers:** Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge
* **Devices:** Desktop or laptop recommended (mobile devices have limited functionality)
