# Why do I hear my own voice echo during the Live interview?

If you hear your own voice repeating or delayed during the Live interview, this checklist helps you identify and fix common speaker, microphone, and device configuration issues.

### 🔎 **Troubleshooting Common Issues**

| What might be wrong | How to fix it |
| :--------------------------------------- | :--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Speaker sound feeding into microphone | Switch to wired or wireless headphones immediately. If headphones are unavailable, lower your speaker volume. |
| Incorrect microphone or speaker selected | Open system sound settings and select the correct microphone and speaker. Confirm the same selection inside the interview session. |
| Microphone sensitivity too high | Reduce microphone input volume in system settings. Keep the microphone close to your mouth and away from speakers. |
| Echo cancellation disabled | Enable echo cancellation or noise suppression in your system or browser audio settings, if available. |
| Multiple devices capturing audio | Ensure only one device is being used for audio. Mute, disconnect, or move away from other nearby devices. |

<Tip>
  ### **Additional tips:**

  * Sit in a smaller, enclosed room to reduce sound reflections.
  * Choose carpeted or furnished spaces instead of empty rooms.
  * Turn off fans, close windows, and minimize background noise sources.
