# How to Install Talview Secure Browser on Windows

The **Talview Secure Browser (TSB)** provides a controlled, secure environment for online assessments by restricting access to unauthorized applications and ensuring test integrity.

If the Secure Browser isn’t installed properly, candidates may face issues launching or attending exams. This guide explains how to download, install, and troubleshoot TSB on **Windows devices**.

## **Where to Download**

* Secure Browser is available through the **Windows Store.**\

* **Installation Steps (Windows Store):**

1. Click **Download** on the Microsoft Store page.
2. Once the download completes, a file will be generated in your default download location.
3. **Double-click** the downloaded file to launch the installer.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete **installation.**

**Secure Browser Availability**

* Supported OS: Windows, macOS
* **Not supported on Linux** - Linux users must use standard browser-based assessments (non-SB mode).

## How to Install the Secure Browser

1. Download the official Talview Secure Browser from Windows Store.
2. Right-click the downloaded installer → select **“Run as Administrator**.”
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
4. Once installed, the Talview Secure Browser icon will appear on your Desktop or Start Menu.
5. Launch the Secure Browser and allow any permission prompts for Camera, Microphone, and Screen Recording.
6. Open your **assessment link** (from your email) within the Secure Browser to start the test.

  If your device is organization-managed, coordinate with your IT team to allow installation and permissions.

  **Admin privileges** are required to install or auto-update the Secure Browser.

## **How to Exit the Secure Browser**

After submitting your test:

* Click the **‘Quit’ (Power) icon** in the bottom-right corner, o
* Press **Ctrl + Q** on your keyboard.

This will safely close the Secure Browser and end your session.
