# How to filter the Forms list

The Forms list provides filters that let you narrow down the table by status or form type. In this article, you'll learn how to open the filter panel, apply filters, and clear them.

### Step-by-step guide

**1. Open the filter panel**

At the top right of the Forms list, click the **Filters** icon (next to the search bar). A dropdown panel opens with two filter categories: **Status** and **Type**.

**2. Filter by Status**

Click **Status** to expand the options. You'll see checkboxes for:

* **Published**: shows only forms that are live and accessible to respondents.
* **Draft**: shows only forms that are still being worked on.
* **Archived**: shows only forms that have been archived and are no longer active.

Select one or both checkboxes. The list updates to show only the forms that match your selection. A filter tag appears below the header showing the applied filter (for example, "Status Includes any Published, Draft").

**3. Filter by Type**

Click **Type** to expand the options. You'll see a checkbox for each available form type. Select one or more checkboxes to narrow the list.

> For a full list and description of each form type, refer *Understanding form types*.

**4. Clear filters**

When filters are active, you can clear them in two ways:

* Click the “**X”** on a filter tag to remove that specific filter.
* Click **Clear all** at the top right to remove all applied filters at once.

  **Additional Tips**

You can use filters and the search bar together. <br />For example, filter by **Published** under Status and then search for a specific form name to narrow the results further.
