# Talview + Lemon Squeezy Integration

## Feature Document

## 1. Overview

Talview integrates with **Lemon Squeezy**, a Merchant of Record (MoR) platform, to simplify payments and tax compliance for exams, assessments, and certification bookings. With this integration: Candidates can pay seamlessly using Lemon Squeezy’s checkout. Talview automatically tracks payment status and updates candidate bookings. Global tax compliance (VAT, GST, sales tax) is handled by Lemon Squeezy.

## 2. How the Integration Works

### a. Booking & Payment Flow

1. **Candidate Books an Exam** → Candidate selects exam slot on Talview.
2. **Payment via Lemon Squeezy** → Candidate is directed to a Lemon Squeezy checkout page.
3. **Transaction Completion** → Lemon Squeezy processes payment, applies taxes, and confirms success or failure.
4. \*\*Talview Updates Booking: \*\*

* If **Payment Successful** → Candidate booking is confirmed.
* If **Payment Failed** → Lemon Squeezy keeps the candidate on their portal on immediate failure and candidate can reattempt by changing payment method.
* If **Payment Pending** → Booking stays on hold for 15 mins. If the payment confirmation is not sent by Lemon Squeezy within 15 mins, we cancel the booking.

### b. Taxes & Compliance

* Lemon Squeezy automatically detects candidate’s location and applies correct VAT/GST/sales tax. Tax receipts and invoices are shared directly with candidates.

## 3. Supported Countries & Payment Methods

### Countries Supported for Purchases

Lemon Squeezy allows purchases from almost all countries globally, **except** the following restricted list:

* South Sudan
* Sudan
* Syrian Arab Republic
* Yemen

## 4. Available Payment Methods by Country

Below are the supported methods, available today

* **PayPal:** Available broadly, with global coverage.
