# How to attempt a proctored lesson

> Once the proctored lesson has been configured and made available, test takers can follow these steps to attempt the lesson.

**1. Accessing the lesson**

* Log into Thinkific LMS.
* Go to the course where the proctored lesson is available.
* From the lesson list, select the proctored lesson you need to attempt.
  * Click on the lesson name to see the lesson description and instructions.

**2. Starting the lesson**

* If the Proview browser extension has not been installed, an error message will appear, containing instructions and a link to install the extension.
* Once installed, acknowledge the web page’s prompt and refresh the screen.

**3. Completing the lesson**

* Attempt all of the lesson questions and then click on **Submit.**
* Click on the **Stop Proctoring** button at the top right of the screen.
  * A confirmation message will pop up, click **OK**.
  * Ensure you have attempted all the questions before confirming to end the proctoring.
* Optionally, provide feedback on the proctoring experience.
* After stopping proctoring, you will be redirected back to the home page.
