# How to attempt a proctored quiz

> This guide provides a step-by-step process for students on how to attempt a proctored native quiz within Skilljar LMS. 

**1. Access the quiz**

* Open your web browser and enter the test domain URL.
* Append the specific course ID to the URL if required. This will direct you to the correct course page.

**2. Register or Sign In**

* If you are a new user, you need to **register** for an account. Follow the registration prompts and provide the necessary information to create your account.
* If you already have an account, simply **sign in** using your valid credentials (username and password).

**3. Start the quiz**

* After logging in, click on the **“Start”** button to begin the quiz.

**4. Proctoring Pre-Flight Checks**

* Clicking on **“Start”** will initiate the **proctoring pre-flight checks**. This step ensures that all necessary proctoring measures are in place before you begin the quiz.

**5. Take the Quiz**

* Once you have successfully passed the pre-flight checks, the quiz questions will appear.
* Proceed to answer all the questions as per the instructions provided in the quiz.
